Unless you have an energy, storage system installed, you will not have electric power in the event of a power outage. Due to industry requirements, systems without energy storage are grid-interactive and only produce energy in the presence of grid power.

Your system comes with a free monitoring system which shows your system’s energy production and your energy consumption. This monitoring service is free as long as you own your system.

Depending on the electric rates and energy consumption the payback period varies from 3 to 7 years with average being 5.  As electric rates are expected to increase fast in coming years, your savings will increase every year.

Yes because your solar system will work for over 30 years and as electric rates rise every year your investment in solar will look even smarter as time goes by.  Not many investments can match the low risk and high rate of return benefits of solar.

If you value continuous operation of certain appliances, Internet service and some lighting during the blackouts, then you need battery system in addition to solar.
If you have Time-of-Use electric rate and/or pay demand charges, battery system will save you money and therefore is a smart investment decision.
